About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Digital Content Lead to join our expert eCommerce team and help shape the future of Arco’s online experience. The role will be on a fixed term contract for a period of 6 months.

This is a senior role leading the non-product content planning, migration and creation for our new website project. You will be working to both audit, research and write content that will drive our online sales and customer engagement.

Working with various teams across the business you will play a key role in identifying, specifying, and writing digital content.  

This is a hybrid, full time position with a mix of 2 or 3 days a week office (our head office is based in Hull) and home working.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Playing a lead role in creating written non product content and sourcing graphics and imagery for our new website (due to launch March 2025)
  • Auditing our extensive bank of existing content as a primary source of new content creation
  • Working closely with key stakeholders in digital, marketing and ecommerce to identify content priorities and objectives that supports Arco’s commercial objectives
  • Creating / writing engaging ‘expert’ content articles that align to clear KPIs
  • Creating / writing engaging ‘about us’ content that align to Arco’s brand and acquisition objectives
  • Creating / writing engaging ‘help’ content that aligns to Arco’s brand and acquisition objectives
  • Creating and migrating existing high value content to limit commercial impact during migration to the new website
  • Ensuring legal content is produced and compliant to trading requirements online
  • Defining a customer focussed online experience supported by appropriate content that maximises the customers time on our site
  • Working within and building out website pages in our new CMS platform, Optimizly
  • Adhering to and advising on clear SEO and digital marketing rules and objectives
  • Documenting a living style guide and training others on future direction of content
  • Supporting a robust redirect strategy to ensure smooth transition from old platform to new
About you
The ideal Digital Content Lead will be/have:
  • Experienced in defining, writing and editing authoritative digital content that is SEO ready
  • A Senior Content Writer / Editor with significant experience in writing authoritative factual content
  • Able to demonstrate a background of creating sharable content on expert subjects that includes recognition of industry specific legislation / practices and knowledge (you do not need to be an expert in safety content but will need to demonstrate you can work with our experts and quickly develop a growing level of knowledge
  • Ability to articulate an article brief that includes measurable KPIs and outcomes
  • Able to demonstrate creative authority and command of details, you will be comfortable promoting business benefits of your ideas to senior stakeholders
  • A great team player able to demonstrate experience of working with others in diverse environments whilst effectively promoting change and new ways of working
