We’re currently recruiting for a Lead Business Analyst who will lead, direct, motivate, coach and develop our highly skilled team of BA’s who are responsible for delivering requirements to support our strategic plan for change.
The role is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid working pattern, splitting your time between home and office working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, directing, motivating, coaching and developing your team of BA’s and BIPs whilst facilitating best practice working models
- Managing the assignment of BA’s and BIPs to Agile teams or projects, handling availability conflicts and sourcing extra capacity where required
- Developing strong relationships with the Digital Exec, their direct reports, and the IT delivery team, to hold them to account for their part in project delivery
- Supporting the Head of Delivery in strategic change planning activities
- Supporting the initial assessment of initiatives, change and projects into the overall portfolio, prior to assigning to BA’s and BIP’s
- Helping with developing standards and enhancing methodology
- Providing timely updates on progress and working together with the Head Of Delivery to address any concerns to ensure we deliver great outcomes

About you
The ideal Business Analyst will be/have:
- Demonstrable experience in business analysis roles with the aptitude for, and capability to line manage a diverse team of BA’s and BIP’s
- Excellent mentoring, development and performance management skills, with a history of delivery outstanding results
- Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making ability, and capability of drawing out key insights to support decision making
- Clear thinking with the ability to join detail within a high level ‘bigger picture’ and ability to operate strategically and tactically
- Proven experience of working in an Agile environment with a history of delivering outstanding results using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience of defining business processes, mapping the AS-IS and TO-BE to defined industry defined standards
- Experience of defining Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Previously experience of using MS VISIO to create business processes and JIRA for Agile story development desirable
- Experience of working in a retail environment desirable, across a range of functional disciplines
