Following significant investment in our Technical Sales team, we’re expanding the team to meet rising demand driven by the success of our PPE ranges and strong new-business wins. We’re now looking for a Technical Sales Specialist (PPE) to help translate this momentum into long-term commercial impact.
This is a key role in our Build for Growth strategy. As the technical authority for PPE, you’ll strengthen sales capability by equipping our regional and strategic teams with the expert insight and knowledge that wins trust, opens doors, and strengthens customer partnerships. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering a UK business development strategy focused on PPE products, aligned to Arco’s overall commercial objectives
- Identifying, targeting, and converting new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
- Building strong relationships with end users, procurement teams, health & safety professionals, and operational stakeholders
- Maintaining awareness of relevant EN ISO standards, including Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection, Head Protection and Respiratory Protective Equipment
- Supporting customers and internal teams in understanding PPE classifications, performance levels, limitations, and correct selection
- Translating technical standards into clear, practical benefits that support safer working environments
- Acting as a subject matter expert for PPE products within the sales organisation, leading internal upskilling activities to contribute to raising overall capability and confidence in hand protection selling
- Supporting sales teams through joint customer visits, demonstrations, and solution building discussions
- Providing insight and feedback to commercial, category, and marketing teams to support range development and go to market strategy
- Supporting cross category selling opportunities by linking PPE and broader product needs

The ideal Technical Sales Specialist (PPE) will be/have:
- Commercially focused and solution orientated with proven experience in business development and technical sales in the UK industrial PPE market, including applications and customer buying drivers
- Strong knowledge of the UK PPE market and customer landscape with a background in PPE manufacturing, distribution, or category focused sales roles
- Awareness of EN ISO standards relating to Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection, Head Protection and Respiratory Protective Equipment
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence customers and internal sales teams.
- A confident trainer and coach, with experience of developing and supporting wider sales teams
- Customer focused with a collaborative mindset
- Self motivated and comfortable operating autonomously
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
