We’re currently recruiting for a HR Administrator / Apprentice to join our People & Culture team here at Arco. If you’re someone who enjoys and wants to provide administrative support, analysis of data, and process guidance all while ensuring precision in every task then we want to hear from you!
Our HR Administrator / Apprentice role is a hybrid position, with a mix of working from our Head Office in Hull, and home-based working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing first front-line support and advice to colleagues and line managers in all aspects or ER and contractual queries and challenges
- Continually reviewing process and procedure efficiencies within the department and make recommendations for improvement
- Delivering excellent customer service by dealing with all enquiries timely, accurately and in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner
- Obtaining and maintaining a sound working knowledge of the systems, policies and procedures in HR.
- Maintaining a great working relationship with the HR Advisors. ensuring consistent advice and ways or working are adhered to at all times
- Providing the People & Culture team with administrative support
- Ensuring that all personnel files are accurately maintained in a timely manner
- Liaising with the Payroll team to ensure all colleague information is correctly maintained
- Working through own initiative with minimal supervision as well as working as part of the wider HR Shared Services team
- Being an expert on all modules of the My Arco system and if required make recommendations for any improvements

About you
The ideal HR Administrator / Apprentice will be/have:
- Experience in Excel / PowerPoint / Word/ SharePoint
- Some working knowledge of HR policies, systems, procedures and producing HR correspondence
- Ability to work in a confidential environment / HR Service Centre
- Knowledge of excellent customer service practices
- Highly focused on customer service with demonstrable understanding of excellent service delivery
