About The Role

Are you a strategic Sales Leader with a passion for driving commercial results through high-performing teams? We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Head of Regional Sales to take ownership of one of our regionally based sales teams, leading from the front to drive the team to deliver on the sales and net profit performance of the region!

In this pivotal role as our Head of Regional Sales, you’ll not only inspire, develop and coach your team of field-based Territory Account Managers to drive sales performance, but also be accountable for creating and implementing strategic sales plans which execute our strategy and deliver our customer experience goals. 

The region which the role will cover includes Scotland and the North of England, we therefore require the successful Head of Regional Sales to based in this region. 

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Being accountable for sales and net profit performance (including full P&L responsibility) of the defined region – Scotland & North England - supporting the overall sales strategy and financial targets
  • Recruiting, coaching, leading and developing your team of Territory Account Managers to maximise potential and ensure high performance and engagement
  • Being accountable for the delivery of the new business target of your region and the pipeline development to enable future growth
  • Leading your team of Account Managers to optimise cost to serve and net profit by managing appropriate resource allocation and control of cost drivers, including debt management, overdue order management and customer ordering efficiencies
  • Collaborating with the strategic sales channels to define regional prioritisation, contact strategies and sales forecasts as well as using regional insight to drive the strategic sales strategies
  • Driving pricing tool adherence within the Account Management community
  • Utilising strong matrix management with key internal stakeholders to drive growth and an effortless customer experience across all channels
  • Maximising vendor relationships in order to optimise the growth and profitability of the region
  • Managing demand plans for large customers to deliver an excellent customer experience

The ideal Head of Regional Sales will be/have: 
  • A proven track record of coaching and developing high performing sales teams to deliver and exceed sales targets
  • Experience of driving execution of strategy through a team of sellers
  • Experience of identifying, growing and managing excellent customer relationships
  • Excellent understanding of market, competition and customers
  • Very high levels of customer focus and commitment to customer service excellence, including experience delivering successful sales presentations
