Are you able to juggle strategic ambition alongside cyclical HR initiatives, whilst delivering HR solutions through consulting and partnering with stakeholders up to C-Suite level?
If this sounds like you, then we’re now recruiting for a HRBP to join our People & Culture (P&C) leadership team, partnering with the Exec members and their leadership teams for our Commercial and Finance functions. The colleague base of these functions is circa 600 to 700 employees.
Please note our HR Business Partner role is a hybrid position with a mix of home working and time spent from our Head Office in Hull, with the expectation of an average of 2 to 3 days from the office each week. There may also be some UK wide travel required from time to time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding business strategy to determine the Functional People Plan and priorities to deliver business objectives
- Supporting senior leaders in delivering the strategic and operational people elements of change programmes
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Arco’s overall People Strategy
- Developing a robust resource and capability plan to enable achievement of business objectives
- Delivering and facilitating key people initiatives and projects, ensuring they are effectively prioritised, resourced and delivered. These will include initiatives related to Reward & Recognition, Talent & Succession Planning, Management Development, Performance Management, Resourcing & Employee Engagement
- Championing functional engagement strategies to drive improvements in colleague engagement, challenging leaders to drive appropriate initiatives and actions
- Coaching leaders to be better leaders, and role model the right leadership behaviours
- Utilising people insight and metrics to influence business decisions and the people agenda as well as continuous improvement on key performance metrics
- Providing coaching and support to HR colleagues, using the HR Operating Model to leverage support from the P&C team
- Managing high level complex ER cases when escalated, mitigating business risk and managing commercial outcomes

The ideal HR Business Partner will be/have:
- A true HR generalist with a proven track record of HR Business Partnering up to Executive (C Suite) level
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate at all levels and be flexible in approach
- Understanding of the change management cycle and of people metrics
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities
- Strong influencer and relationship builder with a high focus on customer service
- Employee relations background
- Excellent Microsoft Office systems knowledge and skills inc. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Good coaching skills and experience of delivering training
- Knowledge of talent attraction, OD and reward frameworks
- CIPD qualified or relevant demonstrable experience
