As Head of Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for driving the performance of a team of Strategic Account Managers based across the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Being accountable for sales and net profit performance (full P&L responsibility) of the defined sector
- Being accountable for the delivery of the new business target of your sector and the pipeline development to enable future growth
- Developing and driving the sector sales strategy in collaboration with marketing, across all sales channels and all customer sizes
- Strong matrix management with key internal stakeholders to drive growth and an effortless customer experience across all channels
- Collaborating with Regional Sales Managers to define the contact strategy in order to optimise sales resources and performance
- Commercially contributing towards the wider strategic business objectives and projects
- Maximising vendor relationships in order to optimise the growth and profitability of the sector
- Responsibility for the accurate forecasting of business performance and demonstrating that robust plans are in place to ensure the numbers are delivered
- Coaching leading and developing National Account Manager’s to maximise potential and ensure high performance and engagement
- Being an advocate for and role model of the Challenger Sales methodology
- Championing the customer to ensure an outstanding customer experience

The ideal Head of Strategic Accounts will be/have:
- Proven track record of successful P&L delivery within a sales environment
- Excellent understanding of the market, competition and customers in the maintenance and infrastructure sectors would be greatly beneficial
- Proven track record of developing high performing sales teams
- Extensive experience of delivering successful sales presentations
- Experience of identifying, growing and managing excellent customer relationships
- Experience of developing and executing a sector sales strategy
- Very high levels of customer focus and commitment to customer service excellence
- Operated at a strategic sales level, ideally within a B2B sales environment
