About The Role

Forming part of our commercial leadership team and reporting directly into our Chief Commercial Officer, our new Regional Sales Director will be accountable for defining and implementing the Regional and European Sales growth strategy, driving expansion and delivering profitable growth. 

As our Regional Sales Director, you will have around 8 to 10 direct reports, and then lead the team of circa 90 further colleagues. You will lead this sales team ensure they work collaboratively with all internal support functions and sales channels, delivering best-in-class service and solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Successfully implementing the European Growth Strategy, including sales and margin performance
  • Effectively leading the Regional Retail and Sales team in retaining and growing the existing customer base, by winning, and successfully onboarding, new customers
  • Leading, engaging, and inspiring a sales team within a high-performance, continuous improvement culture
  • Ensuring that the ways of working, including the rules governing the utilisation of the CRM system are adhered to
  • Providing effective leadership and coaching and providing an environment that allows individuals and the team to flourish
  • Ensuring that the sales team is connected to all internal functions and always working collaboratively
  • Driving pricing strategy adherence
  • Strongly matrix managing with key internal stakeholders to drive growth and an effortless customer experience across all channels
  • Supporting the development of vendor relationships as specified by the Category team

The ideal Regional Sales Director will be/have: 
  • A proven track record of strategic development and implementation, delivering against sales targets
  • Experience of go to market strategies in Europe
  • An excellent understanding of market, competition, and customers
  • A proven track record of developing high performing sales teams
  • Extensive experience of delivering cross functional team success
  • Experience of identifying, growing and managing excellent customer relationships
  • Very high levels of customer focus and emotional intelligence
  • Experience of coaching and developing sales teams
